Ten Startup from Nordics and Baltics will spend 4 months going through the agrifood acceleration program at FAN Nordic Hub led by VTT in Helsinki, together with Valio and Helsinki University partners of the program. The program combines deep research expertise with extensive sales and product development workshops. The program will be organized mostly online, however, we expect to rock with an offline demo-day on October 6th in Helsinki (save the date!).
The program is tailored to the needs of the selected startups: we organized matchmaking between startups and mentors so that each startup team is assigned their own mentor for the whole period of the program. The content of the acceleration program covers food and agritech specific aspects, Product Development, Business Development & Sales (for instance with sessions like “How to Sell to Corporates” by the Dutch go-to-market expert Marc Wullings, and insights on Communications and PR: “How to talk to Media” by Tarmo Virki, Co-Founder Magazine founder and Reuters Contributor). The program also covers Fundraising and Pitching skills (with masterclasses from the renown expert Elsa Ervasti, presentation coach and book author). In addition, there will be a 'Deceleration' stream for networking and to develop personal skills, develop sustainable cognitive performance.
The Helsinki Hub provides access to the Partners and Experts of the EIT Food Accelerator Network (FAN) hubs in Munich, Haifa, Lausanne, Cambridge and Bilbao.

2 startups from each EIT FAN hub will be selected to compete for 3 prizes, 100 000 EUR each at the EIT FAN Venture Summit in November '20.
