Hello,

LABORA is an AgTech StartUp incorporated in BC. LABORA's mission is to enhance the Canadian agriculture ecosystem by helping farm owners securely and easily pay their agricultural workers and benefit from the streamlined money transfer process from Canada back home. Further simplifying the administrative process, LABORA assists workers by filing their tax returns and provides online services to farm owners and workers to keep their information secured and up to date at no cost. Our ultimate goal is to improve seasonal agricultural workers' financial conditions and, in COVID-19 times, keep safe temporary foreign workers at the farms.

LABORA is disrupting the payment process for the longstanding Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program in Canada that has remained unchanged in the past 50 years and is ready for innovation. LABORA's electronic transfer payroll system modernizes the existing inefficient system and eliminates the bottlenecks involving the transfer of funds.

LABORA was founded by SFU EMBA alumni, who were incubated by Foresight and SFU-Coast Capital Savings Venture Connection Program. In 2019 LABORA won the Idea Prize competition sponsored by SFU-Coast Capital Savings Venture Prize, then was invited to compete at the Startup World Championships to represent Vancouver in Montreal's Startup Fest and achieved a place as Top 100 finalists in TELUS PITCH. In 2020, LABORA was listed in the Emerging Rocket Agri-Food List at Ready to Rocket and obtained the SFU Alumni Founder Award sponsored by SFU-Coast Capital Savings Venture Prize.

We would like to talk to you and be able to share with the AgFUNDER audience what LABORA has done and our mission to improve seasonal agricultural workers' financial conditions.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your consideration.

Kind regards,

Rene Blanco, MBA & Jaspal Brar, MBA
