The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) are calling all innovators advancing digital transformation in agriculture in Europe and Central Asia to apply to compete in the ‘Digital Excellence in Agriculture in Europe and Central Asia’ contest.
The call FAO-ITU Call for Digital Agriculture Good Practices seeks European and Central Asian high-potential solutions and good practices that are applying ICTs to the agriculture, livestock, fishery, and forestry sectors to address any of the following challenges: 1. Enhance regulatory frameworks, access to markets and/or to financial and insurance services 2. Capacity development and empowerment 3. Agriculture innovation systems and sustainable farming 4. Disaster risk management and early warning systems 5. Food safety and traceability / Food loss and waste
Selected teams will have the opportunity to showcase their achievements on the FAO and ITU’s social media channels and will receive a special award at the FAO-ITU ‘Digital Excellence in Agriculture' online event.
